Professor Susan Edwards (Professor Emeritus at the University of Buckingham and RLC Associate Door Tenant) will be speaking on 7 July at Canterbury Christ Church, University in Kent.
Areas of discussion will include:
-The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 (DAA)
-Strangulation and the impact of s70 and s71 of the DAA in protecting women and girls
-The evidential requirements, how the sections are working and a consideration of the latest cases
-The need for a specific sentencing guideline
