Sophie Quinton-Carter prosecutes man charged with murder in the Cayman Islands

Sophie Quinton-Carter, led by Adrian Keeling KC of No5 Chambers, prosecuted Javon Dixon, who was charged with the murder of his childhood friend, Jovin Fuentes, following a rush hour shooting on a main road in Grand Cayman. The events were witnessed by several of Mr Fuentes’ family members.

After a 4-week trial, the defendant was convicted of manslaughter by provocation. He will be sentenced on the 11 April.

Sophie and Adrian were instructed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Cayman Islands.
