Sentencing takes place in Ipswich attempted murder case
Ed Renvoize completed the prosecution of Elliott Mallett, 24, of Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich.
On 7 December 2024, Mr Mallett carried out a violent burglary, stabbing a woman eight times in her own home. He attempted to mislead police by posing as a victim, but his account quickly unravelled under questioning with doorbell footage, forensic evidence and phone messages revealing his involvement.
At Ipswich Crown Court, Mr Mallett was found guilty of attempted murder and aggravated burglary.
On 5 December 2025, Mr Mallett received 30 years in prison, with a further five years extended licence period.
