Red Lion Chambers and Riel Karmy-Jones QC Host the Modern Slavery Prosecution Workshop

Red Lion Chambers and Riel Karmy-Jones QC were delighted to host the Modern Slavery Prosecution Workshop – “Turning Modern Slavery investigations into successful Prosecutions”, organised by Detective Superintendent Jeremy Capey, Head of the Modern Slavery Police Transformation Unit. The purpose of this full day workshop was to discuss best practice and to assist policing to improve its role in modern slavery investigations and prosecutions. Invited guests included Caroline Haughey QC of Furnival Chambers, together with representatives from the CPS, Metropolitan, Greater Manchester, and Yorkshire Police, the National Crime Agency, and the National Referral Mechanism.
