Rapper Nathan Tokosi, known as DigDat, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 24 years at the Old Bailey on 27th January.
He was convicted of attempted murder and firearms offences following two trials at the Old Bailey last year. The case was prosecuted by Kate Bex KC.
The victim, a rival artist who performed as Lugavelz, was targeted in a drive‑by shooting in Notting Hill, West London, in November 2023. Nathan Tokosi fired six shots at his head. The offenders were forensically aware, leaving minimal DNA or cell‑site evidence on which to build the case. Even so, the prosecution presented a compelling narrative and the jury returned guilty verdicts on all counts in under two and a half hours.
