Jack Talbot successfully prosecutes case involving multiple rapes in the 1960s

R v X – Jack Talbot has successfully prosecuted an elderly defendant of previous good character who committed a series of rapes in his teens and early twenties between 1963 – 1969. The victim was a young child at the time. In spite of a lack of forensic evidence, the jury rejected the defendant’s denial and he was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment.
