Ipswich burglary case ends in Attempted Murder conviction

Ed Renvoize has concluded the case of Elliot Mallett who has been found guilty of attempted murder and aggravated burglary following a violent break-in at a home in Pinewood, Ipswich.

Mr Mallett stabbed a woman eight times after she confronted him during a burglary at her home on Admiral Road. The attack left the victim with serious injuries to her neck, face, hands, shoulder and leg. She was able to escape and raise the alarm.

Mr Mallet then attempted to mislead police by claiming he had been the victim of an attempted robbery in a nearby park. His account quickly unravelled under questioning with doorbell footage, forensic evidence and phone messages revealing his involvement.

Sentencing will take place on 5 December.

Ed was instructed by the CPS.
