Congratulations to Senior Practice Manager David Pilkington who celebrates his 10 year anniversary with chambers. David joined the clerking team at the age of 18 years. Over the past ten years he has developed into a skilled and valued member of the Clerks Team dedicated to delivering an excellent service to clients and members.
He also holds the role of Deputy Regulatory Clerk, working alongside Nick Parkinson to support the day-to-day management of members’ regulatory practice.
In 2024, he showed his commitment to career development by completing the IBC Advanced Business Management Course — a bespoke programme accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. Tailored specifically for barristers’ clerks, the course is designed to equip participants with the skills and insight required to progress into senior leadership roles within chambers.
Senior Clerk and Practice Director Mark Bennett said: “Throughout his time with chambers, David has developed into a highly capable and respected clerk. What began as a junior role has, through dedication and perseverance, evolved into a position of significant trust and responsibility. David is now widely recognised not only as a dependable and skilled clerk, but as someone who consistently gives his very best — whether in support of members or in strengthening the wider clerking team.”
Joint Heads of Chambers Gillian Jones KC and Tom Forster KC said: “We extend our sincere congratulations to David on this significant milestone. David is a highly respected and valued member of our Chambers and we hope he continues to thrive in the future.”
