David Pilkington is Senior Practice Manager and Deputy Regulatory Clerk. He joined Chambers in September 2015 and has more than a decade of clerking experience, bringing extensive knowledge of practice management, case allocation and client liaison to his role.
David plays a key role in the day-to-day management of members’ practices. He manages the London diary, monitors court listings, arranges cover and handles new instructions and conferences. He also works closely with members, solicitors, courts and professional clients to resolve diary clashes and listing issues.
David is closely involved in Chambers’ regulatory practice and acts as deputy within the regulatory clerking team. He assists with the booking and allocation of new regulatory instructions, fee negotiations and quotes, liaising with solicitors and regulators on listings and changes to hearing dates.
Alongside his clerking and practice management responsibilities, David supports the supervision and training of staff. He is also a member of the Wellbeing Committee and Chambers’ Regulatory Group, contributing to pupil check-ins and wider wellbeing initiatives.
