Chris Paxton KC and Marc Brown secure manslaughter conviction

Chris Paxton KC and Marc Brown have secured a conviction for manslaughter of Elijah Clark, 20 who stabbed 16 year old Andy Wood in a wooded area at a park in Waterson Vale, Chelmsford in 2023.

Mr Clark had met with rival drug dealer Mr Wood just before midnight to buy cannabis. A fight broke out which resulted in Mr Wood dying from a single stab wound to the neck.

After a 4 week trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, Mr Clark was found guilty of manslaughter, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm of a second man, having been acquitted of murder.
