Cameron Brown KC successfully prosecutes ex- Jongleurs comedy club Finance Director

Mr Lourides, the former Finance Director of popular comedy chain Jongleurs was convicted unanimously by the jury on 28 November 2023 of one count of conspiracy to defraud.

Mr Lourides, along with his former business partner Mark Ablitt, who had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing, operated a Ponzi scheme, with losses to numerous investors, of £7.9m.

Mr Lourides was sentenced to the maximum of 10 years imprisonment and a director disqualification period of 10 years on 1 December 2023. Confiscation proceedings are ongoing.
