    Hannah appears as both a junior alone and led junior across the spectrum of criminal offences. She is accustomed to handling cases involving vulnerable defendants and witnesses. She is on the CPS Advocate Panel at Level 3.

    Hannah regularly is instructed in cases involving vulnerable defendants and witnesses, including those with mental illnesses and learning disabilities. She has completed accredited Vulnerable Witness Training. She has also completed additional Youth Justice training from the Youth Justice Legal Centre.

    She has a sympathetic approach when providing clients with advice and reassurance at each stage of the process.

    Based in Red Lion Chambers’ Chelmsford Annexe, Hannah regularly appears across East Anglia, but also accepts instructions in London and nationally.

    Featured cases:

    • R v MG, Ipswich Crown Court (2023): Client acquitted of breaching a non-molestation order.

    • Operation Americano: Chelmsford Crown Court (2023): Instructed as prosecution junior in a large scale, multi-handed drugs conspiracy.

    • R v PK: Isleworth Crown Court (2023): Successfully prosecuted a defendant for possession of a bladed article.

    • R v SZ: Southend Crown Court (2022): Instructed to prosecute in the sentence hearing of SZ who had pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. The investigation involved an encrypted encrochat device which showed SZ involved in the sale of at least 52kg of cocaine and the purchase of 22kg cocaine. He was sentenced to nine years and four months in prison.

    • R v AK: Maidstone Crown Court (2022): Jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict, for a client accused of being in possession a bladed article in prison.

    • R v PB: Chelmsford Magistrates Court (2022): Client acquitted for two allegations of domestic assault.

    • R v EW: Birmingham Crown Court (2020): Represented a vulnerable client facing allegations of arson with intent to endanger life.

    Proceeds of Crime and Confiscation

    ● R v DR, Chelmsford Crown Court (2024): Successfully prosecuted a defendant for money laundering.

    ● Operation Adieu, Inner London Crown Court (2023): Instructed as prosecution junior in a trial involving 4 defendants alleged to have entered into an agreement to conceal £950,000 following a theft from a cash in transit vehicle.

    ● R v OZ, Kingston Crown Court (2021): Client pleaded guilty to offences of money laundering, suppling class B drugs and importation of drugs. Client given a 20-month suspended sentence. Was able to negotiate an agreed confiscation order for the cash seized rather than POCA proceedings.
