Aneurin Brewer instructed for the defence in Small Boats Manslaughter Case

Aneurin Brewer has been instructed in the defence of a teenager who is accused of four counts of manslaughter and one count of piloting a boat which facilitated the commission of breaches of UK immigration law.

The boat capsized off the Kent coast in December 2022. 39 people were rescued but at least 4 migrants drowned.

The trial is taking place at Canterbury Crown Court before Mr Justice Cavanagh and due to last for four weeks.
