Tom Jones secures acquittal in the Central Criminal Court

December 20, 2021
Tom Jones has successfully defended a man charged with witness intimidation and assault on an emergency worker following a four-day trial at the Old Bailey. The defendant denied threatening violence against a neighbour’s daughter who was due to give evidence in separate proceedings against him, and denied assaulting a police officer during his arrest thereafter.

Despite the alleged threats being captured on doorbell camera footage, and the defendant having accepted that he resisted arrest, the jury found him not guilty of both counts.

Tom was instructed by Shabaz Ahmed and James Bowker of Edwards Duthie Shamash Solicitors.
