Dame Linda Dobbs DBE, door tenant at Red Lion Chambers has concluded the inquest with a finding that Ellie’s father had assaulted Ellie, causing her fatal head injuries. Cause of death is pronounced as an ‘unlawful killing’.
Further, the Coroner was unable to conclude that any acts or omissions by the relevant agencies possibly or probably contributed to the death of Ellie. However, despite this finding, there will be a prevention of future deaths report compiled and submitted to multiple organisations, agencies and authorities.
