A couple met for dinner after a match on Tinder.
The complainant went back to the defendant’s for drinks where it was alleged that she was raped whilst a knife was held to her throat. The defendant maintained full consent was given and denied the use of force. The Crown’s case was undermined by a successful challenge to the forensic evidence.
The trial at Ipswich Crown Court lasted 8 days.
