Simon Spence QC and Riel Karmy-Jones QC – Bar Mess and SEC appointments

Simon Spence QC has become Leader of the Essex Bar Mess, and Riel Karmy-Jones QC Leader of the East Anglia Bar Mess.

Simon succeeds Christine Agnew QC, now Leader of the South Eastern Circuit), while Riel takes over Simon’s past role.
In addition, Riel has been elected to represent the SEC, specifically in respect of the roll out of s.28 YJCEA ’99 vulnerable victims and witnesses practices across the Circuit.
