Sailesh Mehta successfully appeared in the Court of Appeal, responding to an appeal by one of the UK’s largest waste company. The case was said by the Appellant to be of great importance to a multi-billion pound industry. The Court gave guidance on admissible evidence, in a case involving prohibited shipments of household waste masquerading as waste paper. Sailesh has been involved in a series of cases that have clarified the boundaries of the law in this complex and developing area of international environmental regulation.
Sailesh prosecutes and defends in complex regulatory cases, and often lectures on the law, here and abroad, to lawyers and Judges.
