RLC is pleased to welcome Jade Bucklow as an Associate Tenant. Jade’s specialist interests are Medical and Healthcare Regulation and Professional Discipline. Jade joins RLC with 8 years experience as a Case Examiner at the General Medical Council, where she specialised in the fitness to practise of doctors on the U.K Medical Register.
Jade brings with her a wealth of experience in all manner of complex clinical and professional conduct cases. Jade has particular expertise in cases involving both complex clinical and conduct allegations and where the conduct alleged was subject to criminal proceedings. She has extensive experience in fitness to practise cases involving allegations of domestic violence, sexual assault, rape and child sex offences.
Called in 2012, Jade completed a mixed crime and civil pupillage and has prosecuted and defended in a wide range of criminal cases. In 2014, Jade undertook a secondment as in-house counsel for the Environment Agency.
Before practising at the Bar, Jade worked as a Casework Manager for the Independent Police Complaints Commission (now IOPC) gaining a thorough knowledge of police conduct regulation. She also worked within the Counter Terrorism Division of the CPS.
