Aimee Riese joined Lincoln’s Inn in a live Q & A on Tuesday 16th June answering questions on what life is like at the Bar. She spoke to aspiring students about how to make the most out of mini pupillages, how to choose which Inn to join, managing the work/life balance at the Bar and reflected on her own journey to the Bar.
Students were concerned about how to gain experience during this time period where Covid19 had affected placements. The panel offered advice on online events and webinars – including opportunities for research, writing and online volunteer work.
“It is really important for junior barristers to reach out to students aspiring to enter the profession. Some students have limited opportunities to find out about the Bar directly from a barrister. I hope that answering their questions helped to inform and attract prospective new members of the Bar.”
