Riel Karmy-Jones QC invited to speak at Anti-Slavery Day conference

July 25, 2016

The Act of Parliament created The Anti-Slavery Day. The aim of the conference is to take stock of recent UK developments in combatting trafficking, and in particular the legislative developments with the introduction of the Modern Slavery Act and respective Acts in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Workshops will take place throughout the day and will cover a range of key themes, including forced labour, access to compensation and civil remedies, and the prosecution of traffickers. The conference will take place 18th October. Click here to find out more about the event.
