Peter Carter QC appointed as a Special Adviser to the Joint Parliamentary Select Committee considering the Modern Slavery Bill

Peter Carter QC of Red Lion Chambers has been appointed as a Special Adviser to the Joint Parliamentary Select Committee considering the Modern Slavery Bill.

The Draft Modern Slavery Bill aims to introduce legislation to expose the hidden crime of slavery, bring more perpetrators to justice and protect and support victims. More can be found on the Gov.org website here:https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/draft-modern-slavery-bill

Peter Carter QC’s appointment will run until the Bill completes its stages through Parliament, or the current Parliamentary session ends, whichever is sooner.
