NCA v World Uyghur Congress wins prestigious accolade

Chambers are delighted to announce that the landmark case: NCA v World Uyghur Congress has won “Most Important Development of the Year” Award at the Global Investigations Review (GIR) Awards 2024 in Washington DC, USA.

The GIR Awards “celebrate the people and firms behind the past year’s most dazzling investigations and court cases.”

In June 2024, RLC’s Jonathan Fisher KC, Tom Forster KC and Anita Clifford, (along with Russell Hopkins, Temple Garden Chambers, and Admas Habteslasie, Landmark Chambers) successfully represented the World Uyghur Congress in The Court of Appeal (Civil Division) in a challenge brought against the NCA’s decision not to investigate suspected breaches of POCA involving cotton imports from Xinjiang, China.
