Jonathan Fisher QC writes Opinion Piece for The Times

Jonathan Fisher QC has written an Opinion piece for The Times where he has argued for the need of an “enhanced criminal prosecutor” capable of effectively pursuing economic crime cases.

He comments:

“Interest in tackling economic crime has moved up the agenda in recent times, and a second Economic Crime Bill will be presented to parliament shortly. Ministers are responding to efforts by civil society groups that have urged increased action against economic crime. But unless the UK has an effective prosecuting body, these efforts will be made in vain.”
