Jonathan Fisher KC writes opinion piece in The Times

Jonathan Fisher KC provides an initial evaluation in The Times today (May 2nd), delving into the implementation of disclosure regulations in criminal proceedings.

This analysis precedes the release of his independent review on disclosure and fraud offences which is due out this Summer.

Observing several emerging common themes he comments:

“There is broad agreement that early engagement between prosecution and defence shortly after a case reaches the Crown Court has the potential to produce enormous benefits. Apart from anything else, it forces the parties to concentrate at the outset on the key elements of the case.”
