Joanna Hardy-Susskind concludes complex manslaughter proceedings following successful application to dismiss.

Joanna Hardy-Susskind, led by Chris Henley KC of Mountford Chambers, has concluded unusual and challenging manslaughter proceedings relating to the death of a man who fatally fell into a disused quarry following an incident in April 2022.

Joanna’s client, a teenager, was accused of causing the death, with others, during a chase.

Following extensive legal argument as to the sufficiency of the prosecution evidence in relation to causation, the charge was dismissed. The matter involved consideration of telephone, toxicology and drone evidence.
