Jamie Sawyer secures conviction for Norfolk murder

Jamie Sawyer (led by Andrew Jackson of the CPS) has successfully prosecuted Birute Klicneliene for the murder of 50 year old female Dace Kalkerte with the jury delivering an unanimous guilty verdict.

The deceased, who was attacked in her own home, received over twenty stabs wounds across her body and died as a result of her injuries.

The case involved an extensive police enquiry, including review of CCTV and forensic material (including footprint, shoeprint, DNA and fingerprint evidence).

The trial took place at King’s Lynn Crown Court for a duration of 3 weeks.
Sentencing has been adjourned to January 2023.
