Hugh French defended a vulnerable child who had been sent to the Crown Court due to the seriousness of the allegations made against him (GBH with intent and a knife point robbery).
The child had been accused of a robbery of two youths and was said to have stabbed one of the youths during the robbery. The child maintained that he was simply carrying a pen knife and had been forced to act in self-defence.
After a three day trial at Canterbury Crown Court the Jury unanimously acquitted the Defendant within one hour.
Hugh French is regularly instructed in respect of a wide range of allegations of Serious Violence, especially in multi-defendant trials. Read more: [Hugh French Profile]
