Hugh French has delivered training to a group of direct entry Detective Sergeants at Brixton Police Station.
The training took place on 14 July and looked at disclosure and some of the pitfalls that the Police can fall into with regards to this topic.
In addition, Hugh also spoke about the Court process and in particular what happens when a case comes to trial at the Crown Court and what is needed from an OIC (officer in the case) at court.
Ross Burrell, Detective Sergeant at Brixton Police Station said:
“The DSs gained an insight into the legal processes that take place after charge and what roles OICs need to play working alongside Criminal Barristers in the case. The training provided by Hugh French of Red Lion Chambers was very well presented and invaluable.”
An expert in case strategy, Hugh provides advice and representation in serious and complex cases. Recent cases including complex child sexual abuse trials, large-scale drug conspiracies and financial crime.
