Following a six-day trial at Canterbury Crown Court, Dan Taylor secured the unanimous acquittal of a man charged with rape, said to have been committed over an 18 month period.
The allegations were alleged to have occurred during a relationship between the defendant and complainant and involved allegations of physical and sexual violence. The defendants’ case was that there was no violence, and all sexual contact within the relationship was consensual.
