
Chris Paxton KC has concluded the case of Logan Burnett who was sentenced on the 17th February 2025, after pleading guilty to the murder of Courtney Mitchell and two counts of possessing knives.
Chris Paxton KC, representing Logan Burnett, said he did “not seek to diminish the seriousness of this offence, nor the tragedy arising” from it.
But, in mitigation, he cited Burnett’s “long mental health history” and said his “guilty plea reflects his genuine remorse”.
Logan Burnett received a sentence of life imprisonment with a minimum term of 23 years and 173 days.
