Kathryn Sheridan specialises in the field of Regulatory and Professional Discipline, Fire Safety and Inquiries.
She enjoys a broad regulatory practice, acting on behalf of regulatory bodies and representing those who appear before them. She has presented numerous cases involving complex, technical allegations concerning the fitness to practice of various medical professionals including paramedics, biomedical scientists and radiographers.
Kathryn has acted in a range of sensitive and high-profile cases for a range of regulators- including the Architects Registration Board, the Teachers Regulation Authority, the General Dental Council and the Health and Care Professions Council.
Kathryn has a well-established defence practice, in which she represents regulated professionals and organisations in relation to disciplinary proceedings, including police officers, accountants, doctors, accountancy firms, solicitors, barristers and law firms.
She also has experience in representing individuals and organisations on compliance with fire safety legislation, including in respect of enforcement action. She also has experience in public inquiries, most recently the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry.
Prior to joining Red Lion Chambers, Kathryn spent 9 years (2016-2025) working at Kingsley Napley LLP as a Senior Associate in the Regulatory department.
Kathryn has been recognised as an “Associate to Watch” in Chambers & Partners and a “Leading Associate” in Legal 500 UK.
