Justine joined Red Lion Chambers as a first six pupil in September 2025 and is currently supervised by Leo Seelig. She looks forward to developing her knowledge across Chambers’ areas of practice.
Justine joins Chambers with a strong academic background. She read Ancient and Modern History at Wadham College, Oxford, graduating with First Class Honours – ranking second in her year. Justine completed the BVS with Merit at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, following a Distinction in the GDL at City, University of London. She also has a Distinction in her MSt in Greek and Roman History from Balliol College, Oxford.
Justine brings an international perspective from a portfolio of experience before coming to the Bar. During her work on a presidential election campaign in Costa Rica, Justine’s responsibilities included legal research and policy analysis on violence against women and girls. In Latin America, Justine also assisted the UNESCO regional director in Havana with project proposals, briefing notes and heritage enforcement guidelines. She also held leadership roles over three summer seasons in the Antarctic and has legal work experience in the Cayman Islands.
Justine is committed to access to justice, while studying, she represented members of the Cleaners and Allied Workers Union, often in Spanish, developing practical advocacy and client-care skills. She continues to volunteer with Mike’s Table doing social and community outreach.
