Valerie Charbit will be speaking at the HSLA Annual Conference today (17th May) in a session entitled “Case law and sentencing update” from 4.30pm-5.20pm at Fishmongers Hall, London.
She will be joined by Barry Smith KC (Compass Chambers) and Lucy Wright (Crown Office Chambers) for a review of recent cases that have been in the Court of Appeal and their reflections on what practitioners can learn from them to shape their own approach to cases.
Valerie is Chair of the Regulatory Practice Group at Red Lion Chambers and has extensive experience in health and safety cases, both prosecuting and defending. She is often instructed to prosecute by the Health and Safety Executive and local authorities in respect of fatalities and other breaches of health and safety legislation.
