Three HMRC investigations related to the “Paradise Papers” conclude with no further action being taken

Following three separate HMRC investigations which began in 2017, Michael Goodwin KC has secured the result of “No Further Action” for his client.

The investigations were linked to the “Paradise Papers” – a set of confidential documents leaked from the offshore law firm Appleby in 2017. The documents revealed the financial activities of individuals and companies, including the use of offshore tax havens to avoid taxes and hide wealth. The papers initiated investigations into tax evasion and financial impropriety by authorities around the world including the HMRC.
