As The Kalisher Trust celebrates its 30th anniversary, Ed Vickers KC ( Kalisher Trust trustee and former Treasurer) speaks with Elspeth Windsor in the first episode of the Trust’s podcast.
The conversation shines a spotlight on The Kalisher Trust’s enduring mission to support talented aspiring advocates and widen access to the criminal Bar.
Elspeth shares her inspiring journey to the Bar, reflecting on the opportunities and support she received as a Kalisher Trust Scholar while undertaking her MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Oxford. Following her Master’s degree, Elspeth continued her academic career as a doctoral researcher at Oxford, studying issues at the intersection of criminal justice, immigration and the rule of law, before ultimately pursuing her ambition of becoming a barrister. Today, she has a successful criminal practice and continues to support the next generation of aspiring lawyers through her work with The Kalisher Trust.
