Simon Spence QC appears on the Get Legally Speaking podcast for a "Crime Special – The Ipswich Prostitute Murders!"
Twelve years ago, five sex workers were taken from the streets of Ipswich and murdered in the space of six weeks.
On January 2008, 49-year-old forklift truck driver, Steve Wright, appeared in Court for the murder of the five sex workers.
The Ipswich serial murders, commonly known as the work of the Suffolk Strangler, took place between 30 October and 10 December 2006, during which time the bodies of five murdered women were discovered at different locations near Ipswich, Suffolk. All of the victims had worked as prostitutes in the Ipswich area. Their bodies were discovered naked but there were no signs of sexual assault.
Simon was part of the prosecution team for the "Suffolk Strangler".
