Simon Spence QC and Nicola May successfully prosecute teenager for murder

Simon Spence QC and Nicola May have successfully prosecuted a 16 year old teenager for murder.

The 16-year-old was convicted of murdering Harry Burkett from Grays in Essex after a three week trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.

A post-mortem found Harry’s cause of death was a single stab wound and a murder investigation was launched by Essex’s Major Crime Department.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
