Rosina Cottage QC and Ian McLoughlin successfully secure convictions of three teachers who sexually abused boys at a leading school

Today, following a series of historic sexual offence trials prosecuted by Rosina Cottage QC and Ian McLoughlin, three former teachers of St Paul’s School in London, and its prep school Colet Court were convicted of child sex abuse offences.

In July Michael Ellis was convicted of two counts of indecent assault on two boys, one of whom was a pupil at St Paul’s School.  He was sentenced to a total of 8 yrs imprisonment.

In November David Sansom was convicted of 23 counts of indecent assault and buggery.  The offending was against 4 boys, one of whom had been at Colet Court, the prep school for St Paul’s.  He was sentenced to a total of 14 yrs 9 months imprisonment

Yesterday Patrick Marshall was convicted of 24 counts of indecent assault and 1 count of indecency with a child.  The offending was against 10 different boys, 7 of whom had been at St Paul’s School.  2 others had been at Windsor Boys’ School.  He was sentenced to a total of 18 years imprisonment.
