Michael Goodwin KC defends in SFO £88m car leasing fraud trial

Michael Goodwin KC is representing Reginald Larry-Cole in the Serious Fraud Office prosecution arising from Buy2Let Cars, which was part of the Raedex Consortium. The case concerns the operation of a nationwide car leasing investment scheme that attracted around £88 million from hundreds of British investors.

The trial began at Southwark Crown Court on 14 September 2026 and is due to last up to 12 weeks. Mr Larry-Cole, former CEO and MD of the Raedex Consortium, faces three counts of fraud by false representation. He and another director deny the charges and have pleaded not guilty.
