Each gang member, Jamie Duggan, Anthony Rodwell, Trevor Collins and Ben Kilminster received sentences ranging from 9 to 12 years, a total of 42 years. All four were convicted of conspiracy to cause explosions likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property and conspiracy to commit burglary. Between July 2014 and April 2015 the gang attacked 27 cash machines across London, stole more than £350,000 and left behind a trail of damage estimated to cost more than £320,000.
Kilminster, the fourth member of the gang to be jailed was the only one to go to trial and was convicted by the jury in less than two hours. The trial represented the culmination of a year long investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Flying Squad. Kate Bex QC was instructed by Robert Hutchinson of the CPS Serious and Complex crime unit.
