Jonathan Fisher QC has been named as the winner of Global Investigations Review’s award (GIR Awards) for Most Important Court Case 2017.
The winners were announced on Thursday, 26 October 2017 at the Global Investigations Review’s annual awards ceremony held in Washington DC.
Jonathan Fisher QC was named as the winner of Global Investigations Review’s award for Most Important Court Case 2017 relating to the case Serious Fraud Office v ENRC [2017] EWHC 1017 (QB).
Representing the SFO, Jonathan was instructed to lead the SFO team. The case involved the alleged payment of a $5 million by ENRC to obtain mining rights in the Congo.
The ENRC case has attracted much publicity because of its high profile and importance.
