Jonathan Fisher KC to speak at The Law Society's Economic Crime Conference

Jonathan Fisher KC will be speaking at The Law Society’s Economic Crime Conference on Thursday 17 September.

Jonathan will join Susannah Cogman, Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer LLP, for the plenary session from 11.45am-12.30pm entitled “AML risks in practice: lessons from recent cases and enforcement”

The session will provide:

-a practical exploration of recent anti-money laundering cases, regulatory trends and enforcement action shaping current practice

-consider how recent judgments and enforcement decisions are affecting firms

-the lessons that can be drawn to help manage AML risk while maintaining professional and ethical obligations

Jonathan Fisher KC is ranked as a leading King’s Counsel in Financial Crime, Proceeds of Crime, Fraud (Civil and Criminal), and Tax (Corporate and VAT) cases. He also holds a PhD from the London School of Economics, where he is a Senior Fellow and Visiting Professor in Practice. In 2025, he was appointed Chair of the Government-commissioned Independent Review of Disclosure and Fraud Offences.
