Former police officer turned criminal barrister sentenced for rape and indecent assault

Christopher Paxton KC and Matthew Sorel-Cameron have successfully prosecuted a former police officer (Cambridgeshire Constabulary) turned criminal defence barrister for a number of offences.

Following a 5-week trial at Cambridge Crown Court, 69-year-old James Boyle was jailed for 16 years for two counts of rape and one count of indecent assault. The offences took place at different locations in Cambridgeshire between 1986 and 1991.
