David Young speaks at a UNODC Expert Meeting in The Hague 13 February 2019

On 13 February 2019 an Expert Group Meeting takes place to set recommendations for A Modern Digital Evidence Legislation in Iraq. The Meeting is organised by The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and aims to assist the Iraqi authorities in preparing legislation on the collection, preservation and use of telecommunications data.
David has expertise in cell site telecommunications cases, and has been an appointed Lead Defence Counsel in the Hague’s Special Tribunal for Lebanon since 2012 in the Prosecutor v Ayyash and others, which concerns the assassination of the Lebanese Prime Minister, Mr. Rafic Hariri. In addition to his International practice, David also works in the UK, appearing in court and advising in complex crime cases.
