Former builder, Mr Andrewes had earned a salary for a number of years as a high profile senior NHS despite making false representations to obtain his employment (‘CV fraud’). He beat 117 candidates to secure the role.

Cameron Brown KC appears on the latest podcast hosted by Hattie Suvari at Get Legally Speaking to discuss the case, his own appearance as leading Counsel for the Crown in the Supreme Court where he led the Prosecution team in its successful appeal against the adverse Court of Appeal decision. The Court of Appeal’s decision severely restricted the scope for Courts to make confiscation orders in CV fraud cases. The Supreme Court overturned the Court of Appeal’s decision, significantly widening the scope to make such orders.
