Allison Clare QC secures acquittal in TOWIE £3million diamond investment trial

Allison Clare QC leading Rachel Wilson, in-house Counsel at Blackfords LLP, and instructed by Gary Bloxsome and Jennifer Richardson also of Blackfords LLP, secure not guilty verdict for their client former TV star Lewis Bloor in respect of an allegation of conspiracy to defraud. The case concerned a diamond investment scheme.

Legal argument and disclosure requests made by the Bloor team led to the prosecution’s acceptance of profound inconsistencies in its case.

As a result, the Crown offered no evidence against all defendants on day 24 of the trial at Southwark Crown Court. Not guilty verdicts were returned by the jury on direction of the Judge.
