Adam Wiseman QC secures acquittals in multiple fatality M6 trial.

ZG has been unanimously acquitted of causing multiple deaths and serious injury in the M6 motorway collision that occurred in May 2017.

Earlier today, 18th September 2018, after a distressing and emotionally fraught trial, the jury returned their verdicts.
Adam Wiseman QC was instructed for the defence.

The defendant, an HGV driver, drove into the rear of a Nissan Micra in the early hours of 24th May 2017. Five occupants of the car were instantly killed and one survived but suffered very serious injury. The jury had to consider the quality of the defendant’s driving as he denied causing death by dangerous driving and denied the alternative counts of causing death by careless driving.
