Acquittal in Bradford murder trial

Syam Soni has secured a significant result for his client following a lengthy and complex trial involving allegations of murder, manslaughter and violent disorder.

The trial involved substantial legal argument, including the successful opposition of the Prosecution’s bad character application, careful analysis of the leading authorities on joint enterprise, including the landmark Supreme Court decision in R v Jogee.

Syam’s client was acquitted of both murder and manslaughter and convicted of violent disorder only.
