David Young instructed for the Defence in Kosovo War Crimes trial

David Young has been instructed as lead defence Counsel for Rexhep Selimi, an alleged leadership figure in the Kosovo Liberation Army ( KLA).

Selimi, along with the former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, stands trial for War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity relating to the Kosovo war and conflict.

The trial commenced on Monday 3 April in The Hague’s Kosovo Specialist Chambers and has been widely covered by the international media.

David Young has consistently defended in high profile complex International criminal trials. Previously he was the only UK counsel instructed to lead for the defence in the Hariri assassination case before The Special Tribunal for Lebanon in the Hague (2011-2020) where the defendant was acquitted of all charges: [David Young Profile ]
